Hi all, I have a 2004 XC70 and just recently the "Brake Failure Stop Safely" Light went on in my car. The car seems to be running fine and the brakes are just fine as well, so I am assuming it is an electrical issue. I took it to the Denver dealer and they told me that they would not be able to fix it easily and I could potentially have to replace the CEM and the BCM entirely and it would cost upwards of $2600. I certainly can not afford that sort of expense right now, so i am wondering a few things. Is this light or problem bad for the car and will it affect safety and two, if it is an electrical fix, is there an easier or less expensive fix than what the dealer is telling me??
