Default Can't open car to charge battery

Our 2001 S80 has a broken driver's side door handle. Normally we have to open the passenger side door with the key fob and slide in to open the driver's door [waiting to get in body shop]. Now the battery is dead and of course the passenger door doesn't have key entry. Any ideas on how to get in to pop the hood [any way to open the hood from the outside?] so we can charge the battery?

If Im not mistaken isnt the battery in that year and model in the trunk? Have you tried opening the trunk with the key and then charging the battery that way?
