Default Battery keeps losing charge

Hi, my friend has a Volvo V70 2.5 diesel estate 1999, he has a problem with the battery losing its charge in cold weather, he puts it on charge and within a day or two the battery is flat, even if he uses his car daily. He took it to the main dealer and they checked the battery and electrical system and said everything was ok, the only difference is that he leaves the vehicle outside (the temperature does not get below -1C) and the dealer leaves it inside. The dealer said that because it is a diesel the vehicle should be run for about 20 minutes a day. Anyone have any ideas?

Thank's Paul

He have a system in his car? Sounds like something is draining it. Which could be something touching something somewhere in the car.
