The wife had to make an Emergancy trip out of town this morning.
I was out checking over the fluids before she left.

I was really happy when I pulled the dipstick to check the oil level.

Here car now has almost 210,000 miles on it.
I pulled the dipstick out and I could still read the letters on the dipstick with the oil level full.
She is also half way through the oil change interval.(1,500 miles now next change in 1,500 miles)

I can't belive the oil is still so clean with the milage the motor has.

This car must have really had a good service history through its life.

The car still runs so good it feels like the motor only has 50k on it.

It is also still faster than my R.
Hard to believe.
She only has a MBC pushing 12PSI boost.
I have a chipped computer and a MBC pushing 12PSI boost and she still beats me.[sm=headbang.gif]

But anyways point is with the proper maintance these things will last a long time.

And make sure to follow scheduled maintenance, especially the timing belt + its pulleys + hydraulic tensioner. The interval for oil change is...

...wait, Tech's the original poster, what am I doing here[sm=headbang.gif]?

My son in law thinks his wife's/my daughter's 95 850 Turbo is faster than my T5R. I have never driven her car so I'm not sure, but I don't want to race. The reason being, if I lose I will start spending money I don't have making mods to make my car faster.

A little touchy about the wifes driving abilities aren't we Mr. Tech. Wasn't it Shakespeare that said "Thou doth protest too much".

We are still working on our financial situation, which involves our current autos. And yes, some of the routine maintenance on Volvos can be pricey, but like Tech said, with proper care, it's worth owning a Volvo. Nadine and I have finally come to the decision, that no matter what we do, even if it means getting rid of our current 850... it will be replaced by another.

We are actually hoping for two 850's in the garage. I even got her talked into a yellow 850R. She got to see one in person on Sunday and at first hated it, but then gave me the okay, if I can sell the Typhoon. [8D]

I admit she can drive.(My Mustang will tell you so as well)
But It is not the drivers winning and loosing its the cars.
Mine is also acting up lately almost misfiring under heavy load need time to look at it.

Check the plug wires, I bet your wife pulled one out just a bit to create an almost imperceptible edge. That's why her's is faster !
