Default New brakes knocking when stopping

Just installed new rotars (Brimmbo) and new pads (Wagner) without problems. When stopping the driver side front breaks have a clicking sound when stopping. Any thoughts on what may be the problem? Noticed on the forums that OEM parts are recommended, but any thoughts on the clicking?

If you installed Brimmbo (made in C....?), instead of Brembo, that could be causing the problem....just kidding[8D]. Wagner sounds like a German supplier but I'm not sure if they are one of the OEM pad suppliers. I used Textar pads for the fronts and didn't have any trouble, except the traditional dusting.

The clicking could be due to loose pad-holding spring (kind of tricky to install), the aluminium dust shield touching the rotor, etc... I would go back and visually inspect & try to move components to see if something is touching the rotor/pad or is being loose (the slider pins, caliper bracket bolts, etc...). Also hear other members' suggestions.

BTW, what model & year is your Volvo?
