I have a 2006 Volvo s40 t5 2.5l that is front wheel drive and wonder how hard it would be to change it to all wheel drive, thanks

 

No, and it wouldn't be very cost effective if you could.

The AWD system uses a module to control it, called the Differential Electronic Module. Your car doesn't have the wiring in the network to connect that module and if it did, the other modules used in the system that your car does already have would not recognize it to work with it.

 

There are not a lot of things you can do to this car is there lol seems like they don't really make any aftermarket parts to increase performance except for intake and exhaust

 

I'm not familiar with what's out there, I work at a dealer so we don't deal with that kind of stuff.

Do you know if you can just get the bearings for the rear wheel? Mine are out but auto zone is $220 but I think that that is for the whole assembly

 

The hub is a sealed unit
