Newbie, here and to Volvo - Just bought an 08 XC70 that is CPO, does Volvo require that regular maintainence be provided by Volvo?

Service can be done anywhere, that is competent and correct. Keep your reciepts. We are on our second CPO car and I do most of the service to both myself

Whaddaya want? We should answer your question in 10 seconds or less??
Take it to a dealer? Why dont you just drive it back to Sweden?? With the sunroof open!

PS The key is 'competent". You really shouldn't let just any yahoo work on your Volvo (or anything you count on for transportation). Dealers are generally pretty good - just expensive. If you don't want the dealer to work on it, and can't do it yourself, find an independant that really knows his Volvos. And do it now BEFORE you need work. Ask on the various fora for someone in your area, even ask Volvo drivers in your area, then check the place out. If there are 15 different brands in the lot and they all look like crap then don't even go in! Common sense goes along way. And never, ever (I'll step on some toes here, I suspect) go into a tire store (Goodyear, Firestone, NTW and so on) for anything besides tires.
