Default Dealer screwed up my oil change

I recently had my 2004 Volvo XC90 in to be serviced for its 22,500 scheduled maintenance service on June 3, 2005. The following week I noticed oil leaking from the car. I put the car in my garage and had it towed to Volvo on July 13, 2005 because all the oil had leaked out.

Service told me that the service department forgot to put the washer back on when they changed the oil. They fixed it and cleaned up the oil underneath the car.

Since the service on July 13, 2005 the engine seems to be working extra hard. Making a lot more noise then it used to. I am concerned that the car was running on no or little oil and it caused damage to the engine. Deaker offered me a free oil change. Do you think they would give me a extended warrrantly? My husband and I are really upset. Any advise would be most helpful..

Thanks!!

Im not sure if they would give you an extended Warranty but make sure you have something in writting that they messed up and it might help you in the future if you have problems.

Good idea. We will send a letter to the service manager detailing what happend.
This should help with any problems down the road.
