Hy to all, i need a little help with my volvo V70 2.4 d5 "02 , if just boght this car at low price because was without Instrument Cluster, if got one from another car but i need to coding or programming it,because is not working not even get on the lights, is someone that knows if the cinese Dice , Super dice+, it works to do such thing without go at the delears. What is part number of the DIM in the VIDA->Diagnostics->Network?

 

The MY is 2 and the part number of dim ai don,t now because i not have Vida diagnosis., i under if with vida dice clone can i make the programmin or whatever is called the process. tanks in advance

That is not right. That number is for order software.
And software can be loaded only if DIMs part number is compatible with the car.
That is why I asked for it.
And right DICE clone can be used for programming. That is the one based on the same microcontroler as original.

 

Yes you right so i will take out the dim and i will look for the code. Is something with 92.....i will tell you the number, i have two instrumental cluster...

Both DIMs does not fit your car.

First is for 1999-2000 MY
Second is 2000-2001 MY
They cannot be programmed for your car.

That can be programmed but you need to make adapter because socket is different.
That is 2005 MY DIM.

You can reprogram DIM using official way (paid subscription for VIDA + additional fee for software itself) only if DIM is officially compatible to your car. In your case that is only for DIM from 2004 MY car.
DIMs from 2005 and later cannot be programmed to your car using VIDA.
Pirate version of VIDA does not have ability to load software.

* How do I know that DIM is compatible with my car since he does not have the old Dim ... as I realize just checking VIN.

DIM from the same model year car will work without programming.

 

this is correct - I did this on the mother-in-laws car. Only thing is that it will now display the mileage of the car that it came out of. The CEM will still have the correct mileage although.
