Default Does block seal work?

My newly acquired 1998 v70 wagon has seen better days. The mechanic examined the problem and diagnosed it as a blown head gasket. I want to see if block seal will fix this problem. At least fix it for couple of miles until i can get the money to fix it properly.

Don't do it. It will severely clog radiator etc and will probably not seal teh engine well enough to drive it. Even if it did seal, all it would take is one warm day and you've destroyed the engine completely.
Park it, drain oil and coolant and start saving.

Regards, Andrew.

Agreed do not do it.
And let me give a little advise. Just this week alone we had 6 phone calls asking about a head and where to get one. What happened is they went to the cheapest shop they could find to do the job. But they did not know volvo's and timed it wrong putting it back together. Then when they tried to start it the valves bent.

They went in for a simple headgasket repair and now have to replace the head.
