Default Engine build

Looking to build an engine for my 1995 850 turbo and I'm curious if I start with a 2000 V70 turbo will it bolt up to my trans and engine mounts.

I'm fairly certain that it will bolt up. However, you have some serious electronics differences between the two engines. For starters, the 2000 engine is wired for an electronic throttle body. Second, the number of sensors increased and I believe that your 2000 has variable valve timing on at least one cam while the old 1995 model doesn't.

This is not an easy switch.

thanks for your input. I'm thankful. I know a lot about Hondas and Chevys, but not Volvo this 850 is my first, of what's gonna be many in virtue. I fell in love with it as soon as I drove it home, about 2hours, after purchasing it. Even with the problems it had/ has. Then I started doing some research and found out that their cars can almost last as long as the big rig motors. And that made me love the brand even more
