Hi All: I have a question. My 2000 XC V70 idiot light came on which says ETC (I think it is that, I remember it is ET...) which I believe is the electronic throttle module. When it is on, I have the push the pedal all the way to the floor to get the car to move. When I turn the key off, it resets, the car drives fine until the light comes back on in about 5 minutes. Is this a hard part to replace, and does anybody know about how much a new module runs? Or any other suggestions to repair this would be helpful. Many thanks.

 

Most likely the module is bad.It will need to be replaced.It will cost about 1200.00.
If you do it your self then you will have to tow it to the dealership to have them download software to activate it.
