1. You could use some of the products IPD sells. http://www.ipdusa.com
2. You could paint them the same color as your car.
3. You could try Kiwi Shoe Dye, check over on Volvospeed.com for more info on that.

I use some milky white stuff on mine that the guy who sold me the car gave me. He put in a Gator Aide Bottle so I have no idea what it is, but it works great on all my dark trim. I have also heard that some of the stuff you use on tires to make them look black works good. I have used AmorAll and that works ok, but does not last very long. Unless it's really bad, I don't think you have to paint it or dye it. Personally I like the contrasting color better than having the same color as the car.

Really, Armorall and most like it looks great over nite, then the same old faded look. I need a permanent fix. Waxing or compounding and then waxing work on the plastic trim?

However if you need a permanent fix, get them painted the color of your car. That is the only permanent fix I know of.

If it is faded, buy some Kiwi black shoe DYE. thoroughly clean the trim pieces, and apply a coat of dye. Let that coat dry for 24 hrs and repeat 2 to 3 times. The first coat will be streaky, so be sure to give it 2 or 3 coats. Then finish with whatever trim polish (black magic, mothers) and enjoy. IMO armorall is a waste so don't finish with that.ORIGINAL: smithwythe2
