Default Black plastic trim (Exterior)

Hello,

I bought a 1994 Volvo 850 a few months ago, and it has the Black plastic trim around the exterior of the car. However, I have noticed that on some 850's the trim matches the rest of the cars color. My Volvo is white with the black plastic trim and was wondering if their are any dealer, or aftermarket parts which will allow me to make the trim white to match the rest of the car. Or if their are any ways of painting the existing plastic trim.

Thanks

As far as I know, they did not start putting the color molding on the car until 96. The trim should be swappable or you can even sand and paint the molding.

If you're gonna sand and paint though, either have an air sander, power sander, or REALLY strong arm, because it's gonna take a while. it would probably be better to find some to swap.

Pretty sure all 850's came with the black plastic molding, including my '97. The S70's went to color matched molding in '98. But IIRC you can swap out the trim from an S70.
Painting them will be the best way to go. I painted mine black to match the car with a bumper trim spray paint.
