Hi I notice sometimes that my automatic transmission shift a bit rough on my 2001 V70XC. it does not happen all the time only occassionally. I especially notice it when slowing down and it shifts automatically into a lower year. Sometimes also it's also a rough shift from Park into Reverse. Problem is that its not all the time and so the Dealer cannot replicate it. My car has 3 months warranty on it. Any suggestions on what might be the issue? What can i get the dealer to check for?

Drop it off and tell them to drive it to they feel it.

 

Have you noticed some leaks especially around the catalytic converter area? Such leakage can also affect the performance of your transmission.
