? Faulty tire valves?
I have a 2024 xc60 B5 with around 20,000kms. Recently while driving on a highway my tire pressure sensors went off showing all four tires losing air. They were at 20psi so filled and chalked it up to colder temperatures. Drove another 45 min on the highway and all four sensors stating tires are low. Checked and again at 20psi (had filled to 35). Drove around city and sat in garage for 5 days, no loss in pressure when checked daily. Took into Volvo, no leaks anywhere, no punctures, tires & valves all look like new according to them. Volvo can’t see a problem nor a fix after a 30 min road test. I have read this can happen if metal valves are not torqued properly but I think Volvo uses rubber quick insert valves. This forum had a few issues with tire valves in the past due to corrosion leading to leaking valves at higher speeds. Has anyone else had this experience? Could they have cheaped out on valves with this new series as they certainly did with other areas? Anyone have any ideas as to what could cause such a fast air leak in all four tires only when driving highway speed? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
