i recently purchased a 1965 p-1800 and i am confused about transmission/over drive lubricants. service manual says that sae 80 gear lube is for tranny. it says sae 30 motor oil may be used also? it says the od uses motor oil sae 30? my question is: does the od get its' oil from the tranny or are the two (tranny/od) separate things that are filled with different lubricants?
