I have a 2008 T6 AWD S80. This past summer my car started to experience a starting issue. Normally my car starts on the second crank but it was taking 5-6 cranks to start. At the same time this was going on I had a strange whistle noise coming from the engine area and a vibration/rattle under heavy acceleration.

The starting issue never happened in the morning from a cold start and the starting issue would seem to be impacted worse if it was hot outside.

I took it to the dealer and I was advised to replace the fuel pump due to low fuel pressure, so I did. The starting issue did not go away. I took it back and they ordered a second fuel pump because the first pump kit did not have all the correct replacement parts included. Starting issue still did not go away. Took it back a fourth time they heard the whistle noise coming from the motor. Clogged Oil box was replaced. The whistle nosie was built up crank shaft pressure coming out through the dipstick.

I still have the starting issue but its winter now and it only happens occasionally if the car is warmed up and been sitting for 15-30 minutes. Also I still have the rattle vibration under heavy acceleration. If the car is in park and I rev the engine, I don't hear the rattle/vibration.

The dealer did the tune up at 65k and I'm at 99k miles now. This issue played out all summer long and I've lost all confidence in the dealership. My car has no error codes and never had any according to the dealership.

Any advice would be great!
