Default heater fan issues

The blower fan in my 2001 V40 starting blowing on it's own and then just quit.
My Volvo mechanic said he may have to replace the entire climate control system. Before I have him look at it and do that, I was told by someone it might be relay located under the glove box. I found one there with the description "Omron g41 1125t" written on it. Could replacing this fix my problem - does anyone know what this part does?
Many thanks!

Age and fan when the vehicle has been used for many years in the motor brushes wear down, which reduces the spring tension in a short brush. This carbon dust with a brush around the establishment of lead and hung them up, can not contact the armature open circuit caused by contact.
