I have a 1998 S70. I put a rebuilt ABS module in it about two years ago, bc it had broken and all the lights were on. Now, over the last two weeks, three times when driving on dry pavement, it seemed to kick in, making a loud vibrating noise/feel when stopping.. like the ABS were trying to engage. Any ideas? No lights are on. I had the back brakes done a couple of weeks ago. The front had 1/2 it's life on them.. and after changing out the ABS module about 2 years ago, I only felt a very brief vibration- like feeling- on the brake pedal when sliding on ice, for example, this is like that but more intense vibrating, and kind of a kicking in/gripping feeling.. kind of freaking me out!! I am a mother of two young kids.. so I worry about things like brakes! I welcome any thought.. Thanks very much.
