Default Help identifying this part

I ordered an Ignition Lock for my Volvo 144, but the mechanic says it is not the correct one for my car. He thinks it might require an adapting plate to make it work. I am wondering exactly what part was sent to me and what model of Volvo was it taken off of. My ignition lock is mounted on the steering wheel shaft, but some model Volvos have the shift on the floor. I don't know if the problem is the one sent me is for a floor mount
or is not even for a 144. The part number for the piece is Volvo 677085
and it also has an identifier Neiman 126, as well.
