Default Help - what inexpensive reliable brands for shocks

I need to replace on 2004 xc70 the rear springs, shocks, and upper shock mounts for my mom's car; please can someone tell me if Proparts is a reliable brand ? I see it for shocks on eEuroparts .

Proparts started out as ScanTech, which had a pretty poor reputation from the Volvo crowd. If you are looking to keep the car for many more years, I'd probably go with Boge Sachs (OEM) for the shocks. Why do you want to replace the springs? Strut mounts/spring seats are the parts I'd go OEM/Genuine or "heavy duty" if available.

If you buy cheap parts, you'll be very sorry in a few months because they will be bad and you'll be replacing them again. Unless the springs are rusted, they don't usually needs to be replace.

Ask me how I know.
