Default HID Bulb Temperature

I just purchased a Xenon HID conversion kit for my 1999 S70 and they give the option to which bulb temperature I want. My question is has anybody installed HID's ontheir car and if so what bulb temperature would they recommend? Thanks

Yes I have one a 1999 s70 awd...

You want 4300K-5000K, that is the whitest and brightest. Anything less and your in the Halogen bulb temp range and anything higher and all you get is a color change. Actually the higher you go the less light output they make.

Again you want 4300K-5000K for the bulb temp.

8000k is a great compromise if you travel in fog or mist a lot. The slightly blue hue has been proven to drastically reduce glare.
Don't worry, even at 8000k a HID bulb has more than twice the output of a good halogen lamp!
Yes, I run 8000k on my car and bike.
