How does Volvo know if you qualify? I'm still about 80k out of the initial qualifications, but having already owned two volvos, both with a lot of miles, how will I be able to prove my allegiance to volvo when the time is right? I did about 8-10k in the old one until it crashed, and i've done easily 5k on my S80 since I bought it in August (despite multiple problems/shop visits). I learned on a different volvo as well. What really qualifies you? I know minimum is 100k, but do you have to show them records? I'm gonna have joined within two years from now if I end up being able to keep this S80, and probably within 4 if I get rid of it for school and buy one a little down the road.

It runs on the honor system but they can have a dealer or your vehicle registration verify the milage at any time.

They use to give away badges but I think they sell them now. I use to attach the badges to a piece of plastic, then attach the plastic to the grill.

 

+1..they can verify by asking you to have a dealer check for them. They used to have badges, but now they have stickers that resemble the old grill badges. Every once in a while you can find badges being sold on ebay or other forums.
