horsepower help
I have a 95' 850 wagon with the standard engine. The car is in good shape with recent tune ups and engine work. I hope to keep the car for three more years and was wondering if there is anything i can do to help with the lack of horsepower. I am not lookingto go racing, just help fuel and engine efficiency. Any suggestions?
To be honest, no.
You have an N/A meaning not turboed.
You will not gain much from an intake system or even a performance paenl filter. You wont gain much from a catback system either. Your best bet would be to sell your current car and buy a turbo model. I know you didn't want to hear that but it is the truth.
- Panel filter or custom CAI = around 2-5 Hp max.
- Catback exhaust system = 5-10 Hp max.
IMO truly not worth it for an N/A to upgrade at all when you wont gain very much. You could also try the QBM Cam Timing Tool but I wouldn't mess with Cam Timing if you don't know much about it. You would probably gain 2-5 Hp with it if it is done right. You can also loose power too.

If you want more performance, sell the car and pick up a T5 or R. That would be your best bet because they will be reilable (factory) and cost about the same ammount of money as putting mods on your car.
