what transmission do you have? If its the six speed Aisin, there's no dipstick and the fill level is set by the drain port, If you go under the car the transmission fluid drain has a double bolt - the inner opens a port to the overflow tube which sets the level and the outer bolt removes the overflow tube which allows the fluid to be drained (VW's DSG transmissions use a similar design to set the level). Note that the fluid level is set when the fluid temp is 55C - which typically requires a VIDE DICE to read the transmission's temp sensor.

 

Got it! Yep that's the transmission. I'll go ahead and let a shop do it, since that seems a little much for me to do on my own. Thank you for your help.
