Default How much would you list this car for? 87 Volvo 240DL with 45,895 original

Hey all, posted this in the 240 forum but thought this might be more of a general question, I'm having a problem figuring out the price of this car I'm going to sell.

Hey everyone! I'm brand new, sorry to pick your brains with my first post but I really need some advice.

Selling a 1987 White Volvo 240DL with 46,000 original miles. That is not a typo.

This was purchased from the owner of Oskuie Service Center in Fairfax Virgina (Volvo mechanic and dealer) that was his mother's car after she could not drive it anymore. I got it with about 21,000 miles on it.

I have put about 20,000 miles on it in 4 years of ownership, we bought a new car about 3 months ago and it's just not getting any use other then a drive to work once a week just to drive it. The inside looks brand new, the only thing not original is I swapped out the factory push button AM/FM radio for a CD player (with front AUX input for a iPhone or mp3 player) and upgraded the speakers (2 up front) I still have the factory one somewhere if you want it.

The car has been a tank and runs like a champ, there are no issues. Good gas mileage, drives and shifts very smooth.

My question is price, I was looking to get $2200 for it but a few car people have said that might be underpriced and I should ask some volvo enthusiest, as I don't really know any I figured I would ask you guys, is that too little, just right? I have had calls already but I wanted to make sure I'm not to low before I reply to them. Thanks soooo much for any advice! here are 2 pics

A car is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay for it. Old cars like this are hard to maintain. Things break every day. I would think that you might get $3,000 for it but if you can afford to let it go for less, just let it go. Heck, I have given cars a lot newer away. Find some college kid that needs a car and CAN afford insurance and let'em have it.
