Default LCD Screen in Cold Climate

I'm considering buying a XC60 Recharge. However, I live in a climate where winter temperatures can get as low as -40C (-40F). One of my main concerns with Recharge is that most functions are accessed via a touchscreen. Particularly troubling is that engine modes are controlled through touchscreen and there are no physical buttons. In -40 temperature, touchscreens can get sluggish and unresponsive. Also, when you get into a vehicle that has not warmed up yet, you don't particularly appreciate having to take a glove off in order to access essential controls on the touchscreen. Any words of wisdom from anyone with experience operating these vehicles in similar climates as this may be a show stopper for me?
