Limp mode(engine system service required/ anti skid temporary off)
Hello everyone! Today after driving for about 1 hour my Volvo s60 (2006y, d5 engine, 136kw) got into limp mode( at least it felt like that). Engine had about 1/2 of it’s power, maybe even less, two messages popped into dashboard( engine service required and later anti skid service required, but later anti skid temporary off). After i got to my destination, i turned car off and later tried to start my car but it failed even to turn over, i checked for any loose connections and after reconnecting ecu
connectors, car started. Now
it’s not in limp mode anymore but still have message about engine system service. I don’t have vida diagnostics, i have only cheap chinese one( it’s crap, didn’t even show any fault codes) and today i don’t have time to go to any mechanic for diagnostics . Is it possible that it could be connector of ecu? Because the clip, what holds it in position is broken.maybe just loose connection? Or someone have other ideas?
Thanks!

I got the anti skid message and it went into limp mode. Car would randomly turn off if I was driving a bit fast.
Took it to the mechanic and the problem was the turbo, had to get it rebuilt. I dont remember the technical details specifically, but it was as if the boost stopped being limited so anytime you accelerated a bit too hard and went above the safe limit, the car went into safemode and sometimes even turned off to “protect” itself.
