looking for a wagon
hi all
we're looking for a wagon, turbo or not, AWD or not. we'll have about $8500 to spend. i'm trying to read up on 850s and V70s but would very much appreciate your advice and/or the relaying of direct experience with any models that would fit within the parameters of our search. thank you much

RE: looking for a wagon
NA & FWD will be the least expensive to purchase & maintain. Two mechanics told me that and I believe them. The AWD driveshafts go bad and cost $$$ to replace. Turbos, well yes, turbos don't last forever.
If you are on a budget now and later, go NA FWD. If you're not, take your time to get a well-maintained wagon that doesn't have a major service in its near future. (Well, come to think of it, you should do that regardless of what you buy.) Save your money for the driveshaft & turbo.

what about model years to look for / to avoid? for the money we'll be looking into a low-mileage 850 wagon or a V70. thanks
