Learned a lot from reading your posting before I buy one.

I am looking to buy a used volvo which still have 2 yr under manufacturing warranty. But the dealer (not volvo dealer) does not have all the previous maintenance records, and car fax report only show 1 service record from previous owner.

How do I make sure volvo still honor the remaining warranty in case I need to use it? Thanks.

 

Welcome to the forum. Get it in writing from the dealer as part of the deal.

The dealer is not Volvo dealer, Motor Werks, they have their own 7/100K power and transmission warranty, but not like factory's bumper to bumper... Car is 08 xc70, dealer get from auction too, so I guess they don't have service record either...
