Default Might be a new owner of S80 1999

Hello everyone..

My name is Kirk, I might be a new owner of a 1999 S80 with around 150k miles on it.. I am soon going to be a proud father and have to trade in my pride and joy. "1991 Eagle Talon TSi that i've spent 3 years building"..

My question is, What should I look for on this car to make sure its going to last?

Whats the compression on a good motor on one of these?? Oh Its the 2.9 non turbo..
What kinds of things should I look for since I've never even seen an 5cyc before?

It looks in great shape besides the fuel door falls out, and theres some wear on the arm rests. besides that the car is in great shape. the engine bay is pretty clean too which worries me if he's trying to hide somthing..

Thanks for all the info..

Check the S80 forum. I know there were some problems with the first year but if everything has been corrected on yours and a TRUSTED mechanic checks it out for you then you should be OK.
