Default Mini paint repair with spay paint cans went wrong

Well this was a 4 yrs ago and it's still bugging me since. The story was that my uncle drove his 850, which I have now over a shovel that bounce of a truck. He couldn't avoid it and end up damaging the right fender where just under the side molding and the mud flap are. I offer to fix it and everything went well, how ever the color was a bit off, possibly didn't went over the base coat enough. But the real problem is that I just couldn't get the clear coat to have a gloss finish. It just went dull satin. End up ruining the finish trying to fix it by sanding it of and redoing it. So the surface became slightly uneven. I worked with the Volvo spray paint cans for this. Wanted to redo it again in the future, wet sand and buffing this time, but just not sure if it would turn up the same.

Yes, how should I do this time to get the gloss finish. I figured out about the color problem, but its the clear coat. Would wet sanding and buffing get it to shine?

Normally wet sanding can bring out the shine, but as far as clear is concerned it's all on how its applied. Try high a high speed bufffer

Spray can paint is junk. The very best you can hope for is an average repair.
Pay to have it done properly, it won't cost THAT much.

Regards, Andrew.
