Default Most Comfy Volvo Seat For Other Car?

Hey everyone, I'm not a volvo person. Just don't have any experience with them but have heard they have very comfortable seats. I'm looking to swap some volvo seats into a prius. I understand I will have to fabricate the base. Not asking about that.

Which volvo cars have the most comfortable seats, but aren't overly huge? Probably get them from a junkyard so the years will probably be from the late 90s to late 2000s if I had to guess.
Also, I prefer more manual style seats but not sure if that's possible.

Thanks all.

Every Volvo I have driven had electronic seats for the driver, not entirely sure if it was a standard, but some of the passengers can be manual.

If you are looking for a bucket style, which I find most comfortable, I would look to the P2 (01-04, 05-09) T5 or R from the S60 or V70. Those will probably be most available. or early 10s of the same trim.

Thanks. I'm sure I can figure something out for the electric. Not a big deal.

What do you mean by P2? There are some s60s at my local junkyard. V50 no v70. s40 and s60 seems to be the most common ones I see.

Also, are there any volvos that I should definitely avoid?

EDIT: I'm looking for overall comfort closer to a nice recliner, less of a race seat style. It's a prius. lol.

P2 is just the generation name for the years I listed. I find the hugging aspect of the bucket seat more comfortable over the flatness of the seats from a 2.5T trim.

I can't speak on cars to avoid. A lot of parts, including seats since brackets don't matter in your case, are interchangeable to an extent on volvos of this year range.

Generally, 2.5T/Base models will have the flat seat bottom where T5 and R will have a more sporty, bucket style seat.

I much preferred the seats in my 99 S70 to my 05 S80. They were more "reclinerish" if you will. Also, I think they had more padding inthe butt area - imprtant for this 200 pounder.
Look for used cars in your area, run down and sit in them.

also if you go used, check out Elwood Industries. They sell replacement seat skins - for a few hundred you can collect some old seats, drop on new leather and have some great looking seats.

Thanks all.
It's generally accepted that Volvo's seats are known for their comfort. Some popular models that have comfortable seats include the Volvo S80, XC90, and V70. These models typically have manual style seats, so you should be able to find what you're looking for. It's worth noting that the newer models may have more advanced features and adjustability, but the seats in the older models should still be comfortable. You may want to consider looking for seats from these models in a junkyard or through an online marketplace such as eBay or Craigslist.
