Default Move Damnit!!! V70 is poorly,,,

My good old 2.5p V70 98 R Reg auto. 100k ish

Engine runs sweet as a nut as always. But driving down a country road, Left phone at home as you do... Just stopped pulling...

When left to cool you get a tiny indication that its gone into gear and it wants to go but then Nothing... There has been no loud clunk bang or boom, No Smoke...

Someone said it might be the Torque Converter?

Anyone here have any helpfull insight or is it a scrapper?

Thanks in advance.

If the fluid level in the tranny is good I would make sure the axles are all the way pushed in the tranny. If they pop out a little they will stop the car cold in it's tracks.

Am i right in saying, I they were all the way in i would not be able to rotate the hub with the wheel on the otherside on the floor?

I am having trouble diagnosing wether this is the problem. Could you give a little more detail in to the diagnosis and repair of such a problem?

Thanks in Advance

Not sure what you are trying to say but if I put my car on jack stands, I can turn one wheel and the other one will rotate in the oppisite direction.

Without the axle stand on 1 side the wheel that is off the floor should not rotate?

Eg jack up 1 side of front end. and wheel free spins? is it supposed too or should the off side wheel being on the floor cause resistance?

Because it is not.

I have looked under the car there is no obvious signs of a disconection, thou the NS bar seems to be sleeved and the sleev ends about 8mm away from the tranny but there is an internal bar the goes into the tranny. I suppose what im saying is im an idiot and i am used to fixing Landys and they seem a bit easier to diagnose. Its either snapped or its not lol.

Thanks for your patients.
