Hello i just purchased a 2003 V40 and the water reservoir that goes to the radiator is a muddy oily consistency,I know its leaking oil, i have had two opinions one that is a craked head gasket and the other that is an oil coolant issue, any ideas what it could be?

 

It needs someone to do some diagnostics. I could be a bad headgasket that's leaking oil into the cooling system or a bad radiator that's leaking transmission fluid or engine oil into the radiator.

 

Yes thank you, what im doing is getting the radiator flushed and the hoes as well, some one told me it might just be radiator gunk, but im keeping a watchfull eye to see if the water gets oily again
