So yesterday I offered my friend to do a drag race, and I honestly hought I was going to loose or at least had a great chance of doing so. He has a new 2003 Honda accord v6 3.0 auto, we did a race about 1/4 mile he was very close almost taking me, but as soon as my auto transmision shifted i was ahead of him all the time. Im very surprised, he has around 225 hp stock on that engine. we agreed well do more racing and take some videos. next time.

So your running a 2.4L 198 HP five cylinder against a 3.0L 225 HP V6 and you won? Just think if you had been running the high pressure turbo 2.3L 222 HP five cylinder or the 240 HP R.

 

Torque is the reason you won, he might have more horse power(at a higher rpm) but your reaching full torque at 1600 rpm, while he has to get it up to 5000 rpm. That and the cars weight about the same. I bet if you went for 1 mile he would win, but in that short of a distance its really getting as much power to the car in aslittle time as you can.
