i got a 2001 volvo s60 2.4t with 110k miles
a week ago the rpm starts to go up & down,after reading some forums i cleaned the throttle body after that i start the car and the rpm got normal like it should but after 10 min of driving the car started to die and it came up a mesage service engine urgent,but after i turned off the engine and started again, the car runs fine and then again after 5-10min the car will start to die again.i check the car with scan tool and only 1 code came ,,the turbo pressure sensor'' so this sensor could cause the car to run like that?thank you! sorry about my english.

 

Not 100% sure, but i dont think it would.

Do you smell fuel? it could be a bad engine coolant tempature sensor.

Wait for the experts to get on...

hi,thank you for your reply.i checked the the engine light again after i changed the turbo pressure sensor, with scan tool and the code that came up was camshaft position sensor code p0014,after that i changed the cam sensor(200$) it didn't cahnge nothing after 2 minutes came up a mesage service engine urgent, after 2min in the same time when the check engine light came on another msg. with emission system service required and like i said after 10 min of driving when i stoping at red light car runs very bad and after i'm turning car off and wait few seconds and srarting again the car will run good for few minutes and than again the same story .this is my vin nr.YV1RS58D512069286

 

oh,i forgot to say after i changed the cam sensor i reset the check engine light and again the same code came up camshaft position.....code p0014

 

I have an 01 S60 T5 that is having this exact issue. I have scanner and can clear code and it will run fine for a while until I come to stop and the engine seems to stumble, the check engine light comes on with the same code - and the idle will be rough-steady-but rough...I can pop the car in park or neutral and turn off and on again and it will idle perfectly. I can clear code and it will be fine for awhile but the check engine always comes back after awhile and only kicks on when I am coming to a stop. I bought a used CVVT (same part no.) and newer gasket off ebay, but it did not help...Im not sure, but the CVVT i bought could have been bad...

If you figured out this issue, please post an update.
