Default 92 240 will not start... who wants to earn a gold star!

to summarize crank position sensor, ignition coil, ignition control module all test good, yet no spark...

also... no noise at all from the fuel pumps... fuel pump relay is good and fuses have been changed...

starter is working fully and battery is good... engine does turn over...

I have checked all of the fuses and applied di gel to the fuse panel and all electrical connections under the hood...

sound like we have an ECU problem? any ideas? any? really any?!

I'm having a similar problem with my '89 245. However, if I connect a jumper wire between the #4 and #6 positions on the fuse panel the pumps come on and it starts/runs fine. I suspect the ignition switch..

Have you checked for trouble codes?

I did actually get the pump to cut on while checking fuse panel with multimeter and its the only time it came on...

I'll try jumping the two (that should be the fuel pump fuses)

ignition switch circuit may explain problem if ECU isn't getting power on signal... seeing as how i have no spark or fuel...

never had a check engine light and can't tell if its on now because it never fully starts... what is procedure for trouble code check?

I would verify the timing belt by removing the oil fill cap and watching the cam turn while cranking.
