I just bought a 2007 S80 V8 not knowing anything about Volvo's. I love it but I am looking to get more out of the car, I am wondering if there is anyone who can give me any tips and advice towards this. I have herd lost of rumors of thing that can be done to these car but I would like to here it from people who would know first hand.

I'm not sure exactly what exactly are you looking to do???? you say you hear rumors of things that your able to do....do what? make your car faster? improve gas mileage? please be a little more specific and we will be able to help but first we need to know what it is that your looking to do!

 

I am looking to improve the power, handling , exhaust, and If possible the ALL WHEEL drive system.( I have been told there are tuner shops that can do something to make the all wheel drive more of a even split?????). But at the same time I do not want to do anything that will be "BAD" for the car. I want to do it right as I am having a great time with it and do not want to be at the shop ever second week. I hope that makes scene. I am new to upgrading cars and I am really thank full for any advice and help.

 

I would live the car as it sits, if you want to put an exhaust system thats fine, I would not go messing with the all wheel drive....your car should be equipt with STC(Stability Traction Control) which is operated with a switch by your gear shift, if it is lite the STC is on if there is no yellow light then the STC is off....the purpose of the STC is to give you traction when your in the rain or snow if a tire slips it shift the power to the other tires until that tire regains its traction, as far as the handling I have an 03 s60 and it handles great and I would think the s80 is even better being that it is a step up from the s60.....good luck I hope this help and enjoy your new volvo
