I went to the dealership to get my brakes done today and saw the new 8 Cyl Volvo that isn't out yet. The mechanics are learning about the car now. I forgot the model (sorry), but it's really cool. I was told by the mechanic that it is a 8 cyl that gets over 300 horses stock. It also has sensors on it for if you are driving to close to a vehicle it will slow down on it's own, and if you fall asleep behind the wheel it will slow down and basically steer for you if you end up getting too close to the cars on the side of you. He headlamps behind the lense actually moves. They are projector style headlights and they move up and around (like an eyeball) and adjust themselves. I noticed that when I saw the reflection of the light moving on the wall. The lights are HIDS also. Now the dash is really cool. The dash is like a LCD screen! No needles to go up or down, just numbers. It totally futuristic on the inside. The outside is nice, but basically like the new Volvos of today. It also has a navation system. For those of us that has the prologic stereo and have the speaker on the top middle of our dash..., well that navation is there. It's actually down in the dash and comes up when in use. It also has sensors on the back bumper so as you back up, it warns you if you are getting to close to something. I'm not sure what the cost of this car is going to be when it's available, but it won't be cheap I'm sure. You don't use a key to start it, you use your finger. Too cool huh?!

3.2L 6 or 4.4L 8 (311hp/325tq), same engine in the current XC90.

MSRP 38,705 for the 3.2 and 47,350 for the V8.

 

EMP and Microwave contigencies and other user-preffered additions and i'm thinking "the last V8".

 

Not sure where you are from c70girl, but I know we are not due our new S80 demo in the showroom til late Dec., and it is only going to be 3.2,
