Default New guy with questions!

My wife and I are looking at 2 used Volvos. Im looking at 04 XC70, wife a 05 S60. Both are Certified.

Questions?

What is the Certified worth?

Any issues with either unit?

Price XC 70 (35k miles)26500
Price S60 (T5 AWD, 25k miles)23500

Thanks

KC

I am sort of new with Volvos, but the information I've read and been told is that Volvo's AWD is not too great. The AWD cuts out at over 30 mph and that the axles tend to go bad more often and is quite expensive to replace (~$2000). I own a C70 and found that the steering is heavy and some parts of the car a bit quirky, but well made overall. The C70 is a coupe and is a distant relative to the 850 T5 which in turn should be a cousin to the S60 T5 you are looking at. I have no experience with the XC70, and cannot comment on it. Hope what little this provides, helps.

C70 is really a nice car. Volvo has produced high quality auto parts as far as I have had and seen. What I like the most is the Volvo catalytic converter. It has a nice performance that even my cousin wanted to change his car and have one of what I had before.
