Bought a very clean '98 S70 in 2005 w/ 40k. Great car. Now it has about 160k on her and is having or has just had a bunch of repairs (brake system up front, exhaust, clutch, headlamps). SHould I start to think of getting a new (used?) s40 or s60? If so, which and why?
I care about mileage, safety and reliability. And I've been driving Volvos since about '77 when my dad gave me his old sedan.
Inclined to dump a couple more K into the car now and see if we can go to 200++. But maybe I'm being unrealistic.

 

Those motors will do 300,000 easy if the oil has been changed and the PCV system serviced. I have heard good things about '05+ S60's but I like the old 90's Volvo's.

 

Yes, I've had 300,000 in mind... I guess I'll just do what needs to be done and hang in there.
