Can any one help please a friend of mine has a v50 2.0 diesel , the battery failed and the tried to jump start the the car but put leads on wrong and apparently it smoked and sparked unfortunately was not there to see where it smoked from , they have replaced the battery and the veichle is turning over but seem like the imobliser is on and not recognize the keys , I've towed them to a garage and they have plugged it in and turned the imobliser of but it's still refusing to start it's turning over but there's no fuel , it will run however on easystart but once you take it away it dies , could they of fried some fuses or possibly the ecu ? And help would be great thanks
