Is it okay/harmful to put sandbags in trunk of 1998 S70?

Hey, anyone know if placing sandbags in the trunk (for winter weather) of an S70 will cause any problems?

Don’t think it would do any damage
That usually helps for grip in a rwd car, why would you want to put it in a fwd?
