Overdrive OFF indicator light is on
Hi,
I have just bought a 91 Volvo GL 240 and the Overdrive OFF indicator light is on. The seller told me that it is always on and just means the engine is running, although now doing a little research I am worried that in face it could be a problem with the transmission. Do you think this is something serious or nothing to worry about?

Usually it is a bad overdrive relay that causes the light to stay on.
The relay is located behind the dash center vents. Remove the glovebox to gain access to the relay.
