PCV replacement cost?HELP!
Hi, my mech says that the PCV valve in my 1997 850 needs to be replaced.(yes-it was blowing blue smoke and dripping oil-both small amts so far) He says this is a "bitch" of a job - will take approx 5 hrs and cost me $450-$650. Does anybody have any info on this? Please?( just spoke to the mechanic again - he said this is on reg cars a small part but not so much so on this car.

Before you pay out a BIG sum like that check this website out, you may want to do it yourself..you can get the PCV Kit from FCPGROTON for only 155.00 and everything is on sale right now...good luck and happy motoring....

www.iPdusa.com Has a kit for about $115.00. I replaced it on my cars and it took me 6 hours. Search the 850 area. There are about threads about this.
