I am getting a new 2019 XC60 T6 R Design with the factory installed $1295 polestar option. I can’t seem to find what this exactly means in terms of performance and badging etc? Any help would be appreciated.

 

I think that option is a software update that alters the performance characteristics of the car.

 

It used to be a little blue square added on the back. Now I think it's a little white square with the polestar logo.

On the performance side of things, mainly, about +14hp at peak and about +30nm of torque at peak. It also helps in the midrange as well. Here is the basics of what it does for your model year/engine setup:
