Is this price out of line...

I am an admitted novice to Volvos, so I'm asking this as a serious question. I found this car listed on eBay and the pricing rocked my socks. The car looks great; but are his expectations realistic? Would this car really command such a price? Your comments will be very helpful to me as I continue the search for my first Volvo.

240 Volvos are super reliable and almost have a "cult like following". They are either lover them OR hate them! No inbetween. This 240 IMO might be worth it! It's a 92 with under 100k. That's assuming it is TRUE miles, but by looking at the pics. I would say so. Remember that a Vehicles true worth is only what someone is willing to pay for! I personally LOVE THEM! I love the looks of them. 4k for something that immaculate and low miles is probably on PAR, but then again someone on here might disagree!

I understand the cult rationale; because I have had a handful of mid-sixties Ford Mustangs. I would agree that this particular wagon is probably worth the opening bid of $4000. The BIN for $7500 is what I was really questioning.
Actually, based on what I have been seeing for $2500-3000, that car would amount to a super bargain at $4000. I would buy the car without hesitation for 4 grand if it were closer to me. Based on his BIN price, though, I suspect that his reserve is much higher than the opening bid. Unfortunately, I would also have to plan on $1500-2000 more than the sale price to get the car to Georgia.
