Post problems with alternator replacement

Hi

I have a 2005 S60 2.5T AWD. After a rebuilt alternator was installed the battery light won't go out. Everything is charging just fine. Any ideas?

Thanks

Sorry, I don't know. My car is at a local garage and this is what they are telling me over the phone. They want me to get a new alternator from the dealer rather than try and fix this problem.

Ask them to make sure it is charging atleast 14.25 or 14.50 volts. If it is not then the reman one is no good.

Wiring problem. The light usually comes on for to low or to high of voltage.
